University Centre Peterborough Graduation Ceremony

Education

We have invested in our education to match our exceptional growth. Peterborough now has a broad selection of state primary and secondary, academy, independent and specialist schools. More than 80% are rated as good or outstanding by Ofsted and over 90% achieve Eco Rating.

We’re proud to report that Peterborough is continuing its programme of investment to deliver new and enhanced facilities to our local schools.

Further education, away from sixth forms, is provided by Peterborough Regional College (PRC) and City College Peterborough, with Greater Peterborough University Technical College opening in 2016.

PRC is a highly rated college with outstanding features, currently sitting in the top 6% of colleges in the UK. Both colleges offer a range of courses, training, apprenticeship programmes, professional qualifications, adult education and courses for international students.

The Anglia Language Academy, set to officially launch in August 2017 by Peterborough Regional College, will provide English language training to international business professionals and students, unlocking even more potential within the current and future workforce.

Our University Centre and Anglia Ruskin University continue to attract local, national and international students for higher education. A number of major industries are supporting knowledge-transfer partnerships with the city to help our businesses develop their innovations and their talent.
