Sharing Peterborough's £600 million masterplans
Get the insight you need about Peterborough’s future
On 9 October 2020, 90 investors, businesses, and local stakeholders attended an online conference about the £600 million masterplans for Peterborough city centre as it works towards its vision for 2050.
In total, eight investment sites are being brought forward by Peterborough City Council for development. The Council aims to work with public-private partners like Opportunity Peterborough, and Peterborough Investment Partnership , alongside the private sector to enable £600 million of private capital investment in these sites.
The conference also provided an overview of additional plans around infrastructure and clean energy production. Project olans which had been submitted to the UK government for the city’s Towns Fund bid were also shared. On 27 October it was announced Peterborough had successfully secured £22.9 million from the scheme.
